Instalation Of Linux 9

I am trining to install the Linux 9
In SATA Hard Disk Drive. But I am Get Error is
Hard Disk Drive Is Not Found.

Whether the Linux 9 suport the SATA HDD or Not

What is linux 9? Is it SuSE 9, Mandrake 9, Redhat 9? Or another distro?

These aren't the newest vesrions of, so they may havie difficulties supporting SATA drives. Check the homepage of the manufacturer of your SATA controller to find out about linux support and to get some help installing drivers.

it should support it, since some older versions of different distros do.
but the drive has to be bios supported and initialised for it to.
if not, if it's a rider setting just before windows boots, then it won't work, the drive isn't installed until after ms kernel loads.

you can use mandrake to install into windows to check linux out without rebuilding hard drive, if that is why you are wanting to install linux.
mandrake also has one of the most user friendly installations.

disable your sata hard drive and make bios setting to PATA, and then install linux.

Its possible that your SATA chipset is not supported by the distribution you are trying to install. Check out the following link for more information and workarounds:
