Installing XP themes

By casubramanyam ·
Hi!

I am using a Windows XP client on a network. I do not have admin rights. But I would like to use XP themes which I download from the Internet. Is there any way to do this? Or is there any other files that would work as XP themes for the Windows XP client without admin rights?

Thanks!
Subramanyam

Hi Subramanyam

It may be that the network administrator has used Group Policy to restrict this. Maybe you couls speak with them and find out if this is the case, and whether they would allow the installation? Maybe they could upgrade your account to a poweruser?

Good luck

Without Admin Rights you have no way of changing the GPO settings to load the software that possibley has restrictions applied,no work around is available other than asking for rights from admin.
