Internet down on a Peer 2 Peer network

By -TwiTch- ·
using verizon dsl with a Linksys Router (built in firewall) I find that in the mornings and varies times during the day my 30 user peer to peer network looses internet, but sustains local resources including access to the router. The users are not using too much bandwidth besides viewing webpages, and the local network seems stable. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

PS. if you know where I can get a trouble shooting guide for peer 2 peer networks I would be very grateful

thank you very much for your help. those guides will be very useful to me in the near future.

I was able to solve my own problem today... turns out that the phone line that connected the DSL modem was faulty... and needs to be repatched. I found this out by documenting the activity of the "READY" LED on the Front of the modem chasis. When the internet was working the ready light was solid. but when the internet would fail the ready light would continue to blink. I adjusted the phone cable and found that I could recreate the problem.

I hope this info will help some of you along the way.

Thanks again.

Derrick
