conflict

by david.wallis In reply to Internet help

your router may have conflicting ip address with your modem..

find out the ip address of your modem..

i.e 192.168.0.1

set your router in series

ie 192.168.0.2

that should work ok :)

which device has the pppoe set?

update

by Programmer356 In reply to Internet help

i reset my router and reset all the setting, and it works fine. but this has happened twice so far, and i would die if someone could tell me the true reason why it does this.

In that case, I hope nobody tells you.

It probably has to do with being crappy hardware, and DHCP leases. Those are supposed to expire. Good hardware is supposed to renew them. That seems like the most likely cause to me, but I don't know specifically of reports of your brand notoriously doing that.

Watch out for buses and meteorites for a couple days, just in case.
