Invalid page fault

I got message "explorer caused an invalid page fault in module explorer.exe at 015f:00401f31" and could not start windows98.i wiped my hard drive clean and started again and the same problem is back.How can i fix this problem.iwas using win98,i/e explorer 6, o/l express 6, pent 11 266mhz,256mb ram. any help is greatly appreciated.

The current version of IE is corrupt and causing the page fault.

There are a number of possibilities. Try the following suggestion. Windows will regenerate Explorer.exe

In Windows 98, boot the computer to the Startup menu (Hold down F8 when booting)and then click Command Prompt Only .

Type the following at the prompt: ren c:\explorer.exe explorer.old , and then press ENTER.


Restart the computer.

This problem is caused by calling yourself hareeba. Microsoft does not like that name.
