Invalid Setting error message

What do I enter in the C>: prompt when I get this message: Invalid setting in the MSDOS.SYS file? It says to type in the name of the Command Interpreter........Lost in DOS

its looking for the file called Coomand.com.
You need to boot up with a bootable diskette and sys the hardrive, also, this may mean something wrong with the hardrive, or controller.
In the Bios, see if the drive is located there.
after booting updo a search of the hardrive to see if you have other files.
