IP printing

By randerson7 ·
How to change a newly networked static printer in DHCP network. I changed IP address to one currently used on network. How do I go back on network and change this to available IP address?

on printer control panel?

If yes, then follow the same way that followed to change it.

I am sorry, you are not clear in your question.

Changed at setup

by randerson7 In reply to IP printing

I changed the given IP address at setup to an address taht i thought was available. We are Novell using DHCP. Once i give an IP address, it holds it and i can't use Browser to get to the printer. The printer does not have an interface on it. It must be done thru the browser.

Done deal

by randerson7 In reply to IP printing

I have discovered the method of removing the IP address from the printer w/o the web interface. With the printer off, you hold the "X" or configuration button while powering on the printer and releasing. I have removed the false IP address and reassigned a valid static IP address. thanks.
