Ip resolves wrong and no access to one system

    Locked

I have an IP that is resolving incorrcetly.
when I ping it, It comes back as 10.0.2.3
This is not in DNS or the host file.
We do not use 10.0.2.0 at all as a range.
I added a pointer in DNS and it displays the correct IP but times out and will not connect.

This is happening on 2 PC’s out of 150.
All are running XP in a 2003 windows domian.
The system we are trying to connect to is unix running samba.
It will not allow mapped drives as well on just these two pc’s, all others on the same lan work fine. connecting to all other servers is fine as well.

I am at a total loss on this one……
anyone have any Ideas what could be the cause/ solution ???
