IP Sharing Device/ Internet Server

By axholme ·
Anybody out there using such devices?
Are these devices any good to support 1-6 network(NT) users accessing internet on a dedicated modem link?
What are the alternatives?

I have used both Intel's Internet Station and Webramps with great success for dial up connection sharing. For small networks an added benefit is that both devices function as DHCP servers. There are also numerous software solutions to internet sharing but I prefer the hardware solution since it doesnt require any particular workstations to remain on. Also on the rare occasions that something goes wrong powering the units off and back on usally fixes it.

I've had some good luck with Wingate, it doesn't play all that well with AOL (what does?)but, it's cheap and runs as a service so you can just shut down and restart the Wingate engine if something stops working instead of rebooting the machine.
