iPhone crashing PC - blue screen

By kleighdy ·
I have a Dell GX620 with a Pent. 4 (2.99GHz) CPU and 2.0GB of RAM. I'm running Windows XP with SP2. I have this iPhone that whenever I plugged it in to the PC, my PC crashes and goes to blue screen. I called Apple, and they told me to uninstall all Apple related software (QuickTime, iTunes, etc.) and re-install it. I did it, but it didn't fix the problem. They told me to delete all photos currently on my phone, but that didn't fix the problem either. If anyone out there can help me find a solution on this, I would highly appreciate it. Thank you.

A vague general error then . . .

This'll explain it in more (vague) detail:

Your best bet is to boot into Safe Mode, uninstall whatever software the iPhone uses, reboot, then reinstall the iPhone software, THEN REBOOT.

I installed a Crash Analysis tool from Dell...similar to the one that you recommended. This solved the issue.
