Which at best very much revolves around the individual and their mind set.

Also what is best for one group can be completely useless for another, however after saying that here are a few observations.

AMD do not make any Chips these days they are now a Design House with no Manufacturing Facilities and as such can not provide any specific warranties to cover their designs.

Intel Design and Manufacture Chips and offer a better quality control and warranty over their entire product range. That's a simple observation as Intel can and AMD can not.

In the past AMD has always gone after the Big Bucks quickly and on every occasion has come close to going broke. Not a great way to do business and not a very good way to engender a lot of Confidence in their customers either I must say. While AMD Products may be technically better for groups of computer users it's not much good if they have a problem and are no longer around to provide restitution to those adversely affected.

Also with different Manufacturing Plants being owned by different companies it's impossible to have any real form of Universal Quality Control over all products that are marketed with the AMD Brand/Logo so a situation may arise where a certain Chip was improperly made in a factory and the Warranty is not honored as that Factory ceases trading and withdraws from the supply chain. Under circumstances like that it is unreasonable to expect any other manufacturing company to cover the warranty on a product that they did not make and received no money for.

Personally I like AMD Chips but they do have their limitations and depending on who are buying them I may recommend other products. For a Gamer who wants a cheaper system with lots of power they are great but for a business who wants reliability and as little down time as possible they may not be the best choice.

if AMD doesnt desighn there own chips who does then and as for in tel being more cheper then AMD i dont think so you getter better cpus for cheper price i geuss ever one has there own opinion personaly for me i think INTEL is better for business and for gamming i think AMD is the winner because when you play a game with a AMD cpu and gfx card you play with nothing held back AMD transfers data much faster and quicker then INtels cpus do just think of it who made the first 1 GHZ cpu AMD INtel followed INTEL has always been the one to follow i mean the GTX 590 from nvidia is a dual GPU yet the AMD 6990 is tie with the GTX 590 or even better in alota ways i used to like INTEL but i think INTEl is the one greedy for money here no offence because INTEL pay companys not to buy AMD partsinto there pcs why do you think cause they scared AMD is gonna take there market share thats one of the reasons AMD sued them besides that i used to use ITEL alot now when i got AMD and i have been with AMD for some time now AMD is better when it comes to graphics i just seem to see more detail and everything with amd i know AMD doesnt have physics but it does have many other technologys that nvidia doesnt have and like i said i can buy a AMD cpu or mother board as the same performance as an INTEL one you pay cheper its just a fact i have noticed that alot im talking from XP what about the new bullodozer from AMD the 8 core one havnt you seen INTEL doesnt even come close to the way they overclocked that thing 8,4 GHZ stable once again AMD has beten INTEL with the best cpus to overclock another thing AMD cpus come unlocked where as INTELS dont and i dont remember seen an INTEL i7 that beat the bulldozer have you i have not and there is more on the way that just the first generation cpus and when it come to multi tasking AMD killes INTEL because of the amount of cores they actually have in tell with the first gen i7 cpus had 4 cores 8 threads besides the phenom 2 x6 6core cpus like the 1100 T still kepps tie with some i7 cpus yet i7 runs on a 32 nano meter technology and the AMD phenom 2 runs on a 45 nano meter technology just incase you dont know smaller is better but AMD still keeps up dont you think that should tell you something the bulldozer runs on a 28 nano meter technology and once agaiin INTEL is gonna follow like they always do AMD is always ahead and INTEL is always the one to follow.

AMD is a Design House they Design Chips they do not have any manufacturing capacity at all. In fact the Manufacturing Plants that AMD once owned where sold off to other parties and AMD is straight out a Design Company nothing more nothing less.

then and as for in tel being more cheper then AMD

Not sure where that came from as it's not what I said or in any way implied in the above so I'm still lost.

I'll leave the rest alone but make this one observation. A solid block of text is difficult to read and follow. At least place some Punctuation and Line Breaks into what you post it makes it easier to read. Even if you don't include full stops at the very least place a line break between different sentences.

ok lol ya man i should do that but when i type i just wana get done if you know what i mean. i type verry fast and obviously when i send emails i dont type all blank i do put full stops and stuff its just that when i am free to talk how i want i do i type much faster that way if you know what i mean.

but i want your personal opinion what do you think is better amd or intel ? and why.

the reason why i asked this question is because i know alota people are asking this kinda question i know most people say it depends on what you wana do but i think most people want it answerd in over all performance what do you think is better and i have XP with both INTEL and AMD.

when the person writing fails to adhere to the rules about how it works, the message is NOT communicated. Punctuation can seriously change the meaning of a sentence, and proper capitalisation can also do that as well as make it clear that the i was a lazy I and not a typo with a missed t or s for it or is. It makes no sense to deliberately mess up the message by not using the rules.

    Example of punctuation changing meaning:

Help your Uncle Jack of the stallion. - - Help your uncle jack off the stallion.

posting statements that don't make full sense due to poor organisation.

That also makes me wonder how good you are at IT, an Industry where we have lots if rules that need to be adhered to if you want to work in with what's being done properly, but has space for lots of people to mess up by disobeying them.

You come across as a half trained script kiddie.

For a while AMD processors did more with less, and it showed in game framerates. But a few years ago AMD boards started not working with nVidia video cards, and forcing you to use ATI (owned by AMD) video cards.
I don't know if this has changed since then, AMD lost me as a customer for that.

ok well that is kinda true i have a nvidia 560 ti and it has problems working in my amd motherboard. reason is because AMD and NVIDIA doesnt like each other

I stick with Intel so I can use either graphic card maker.

Interestingly though, my old desktop is AMD but with nVidia chipsets, this make the nVidia video card fly.

They also provide a lot of free tools for game devs.

    Otherwise
-Most of their card designs vent heat outside the case, not inside it.
-Choice of manufacturer, some really are better than others.
-Overclocking and tweaking, nVidia makes this easy and readily available.
-Drivers, nVidia drivers are frequently more mature at release than ATI.
-Driver tools, the nVidia control panel is leaps and bounds ahead of ATI's. Even to include special compatibility profiles for games to either make them run better, or make them look better. AND doesn't require .net.
-I'm looking at the catalyst control center right now, off the top of my head, there is no option for pre rendered frames, no triple buffering, almost no options at all.

But how easy it was to read. The harder you make something you wish to say to comprehend the more likely the misunderstandings or whatever happening actually are.

This is a Written Word Forum and you need to try to get what you mean understood by others or it's pointless to try to do anything.
