Is Asus A7N8X-e motherboard Good?
LockedI’m starting to believe that the motherboard, Asus A7N8X-e, is a piece of junk. I’ve been messing with this pc for nearly 3 days trying to load a new HDD, with WinXP 32bit Home w/sp3. I’ve never had this much trouble before. I have a new 250gb WD blue sata hdd i’m tring to load. the bios itself does not see the hdd but the raid array sees it. I’ve hit F6 and loaded drivers when asked it goes through the format and copy files stages no problem but upon reboot I get BSOD stop error 0x7e. I’ve tried this with 2 different sata drives, different memory I’ve pulled everything from the board except the necessary standard stuff. (Memory Video cd drive and hdd) I’ve even changed the memory and CD drive. I also went back and found an IDE drive and get the same results with 2 different IDE drives. I DON’T need the pc raided. Also I just found out that the original HDD in the pc was Sata and all it would do was reboot itself. Sooo, Bad motherboard? Or am I missing something? And yes, the jumper on the mother board is set to enable.
