Is it necessey to run IIS Admin on Servi

I have a question. We are running a production environmetn to server html and asp pages. I would like to know that weather the IIS admin service should run or not. If I stop the IIS admin service, what is going to happen. Help in this is appriciated. Just I don't want to messup the prduction.

My first inclination is "if it ain't broke, don't fix it."

IIS Admin isn't hurting anything, so let it run.

IIS will run fine without it.

You might run the risk, if you have production problems, of later trying to start IIS Admin on a system that's too compromised to do that correctly.

So, yes, you can run without it but *I* wouldn't.
