Is it possible to recovery data from Formatted Hard Disk??

I formatted my Desktop with NTFS Partiion and intalled Windows XP SP2 but bymistake didnt to backup of my mail or copied PST file so is it possible to recovery That data from that formatted Hard Disk as my mails are very important

Yes, it's possible...

.... But, it's very expensive... like in the tens of thousands of dollars range.

So, if your emails are so important and you have lots of money, you can take the HDD to a data recovery specialist who MAY be able to recover your data IF you have not continued to use the HDD. Note, they will charge you for their services even if recovery is not possible.

Also note that continued use of the HDD makes recovery less and less likely.

Davory from XWays you can download a Trial Version here that should recover the first 200 KB of each file that is recoverable.

If this works for you you can buy the full product.

But to enable you to have a better chance of recovering any Files you shouldn't be using this Drive as a Boot Drive and most certainly not allowing anything at all to be written to it.

Stop using the HD ASAP

To prevent against any further overwriting of data.

then find some tools like recuva (free, by ccleaner software makers) or recover my files. I am not sure how powerful recuva will be against a format though.

It would be a good idea to use this drive as a slave when you try to recover your data
