Is there a Firefox plugin to do this...

By Slayer_ ·
I want a plugin that will give me the ability to quickly right click an image on a website and with a single click, automatically save it to a folder I specify.

Essentially skip the save location dialog, the download manager, etc. Just right click, click menu option and it auto saves to pre-configured folder.

Is there such a plugin? If so can someone tell me how to get it. I am not an experienced firefox user.

Numerous Extensions

by TheChas In reply to Is there a Firefox plugin ...

Just search through the Firefox extensions page to find just about any function you might want to add to Firefox.

Here are a few image save tools that I found.

There are many more. You might also want to look in the download managers section.

Try using 'Down Them All' ...

by OldER Mycroft In reply to Is there a Firefox plugin ...

When you invoke it, it opens a window with all the available downloadable artefacts that are visible onscreen. These can be specified to include/exclude Images, Videos, GIFs, JPEGs, or others filtered to your own specs.

It's pretty good coz it'll download YOUR avatar straight off your posted question screen - usually you have to go to the Profile Page to 'copy' or 'save' the avatar image when using the conventional browser pull-down menu. :)

All One Word

You need to search on this one as all one word as the title is that way.

Here is the link.

In the search box just type DOWN ...

In my results page 'DownThemAll!' is the sixth item down from the top.

Sorry - I should've mentioned it was all one word, but the Add-Ons page in Firefox also accepts wildcards, so if you input the first couple of letters or the first word, it'll match it up with 'everything beginning with ...'

Found one, "Save Image In Folder"

Works good.

You should definitely install THIS too ...

FlashGot.

It's (I think) the only download manager that is a built-in part of Firefox. Used in conjunction with 'DownThemAll!' the two work far better together than either one does on its own.

So far no luck

by Slayer_ In reply to Is there a Firefox plugin ...

The one I thought was good, failed miserably, after setting it up, it got the wrong folder, said unknown extension as file name, and well, couldn't save the file. Downthemall made an absolute mess out of the right click menu and the interface was basically a giant list of text to decipher, which is completly not what I want.

Any more suggestions?
