Free Up Wasted Space and leave your Favorites alone try this.

Another way to find wasted disk space is to use the Disk Cleanup tool by following these steps:

1. Open My Computer, right-click Local Disk, and then click Properties.
2. On the General tab, click the Disk Cleanup button. Disk Cleanup will spend a few minutes examining your disk.
3. The Disk Cleanup dialog box will open and you can make your selections.
4. Select the desired check boxes in the Files to Delete list, and then click OK.
5. If you have more than one hard disk, repeat this process for each hard disk listed in My Computer.

Greg Shultz has an article published with a very good sample. Create a custom backup tool with Vista?s Robocopy.

is the easy way to cleanup unneeded files.

Are you sure you want to remove all cookies? Some are handy to have such as TechRepublic recognizing you when you connect to site.

I'll let someone else address robocopy. I'm not familiar enough with it to help.

Use your 'net browser to selectively clear the cookies...

by OldER Mycroft In reply to Is there a way of clearin ...

Under Tools > Option > Privacy, you should be able to list ALL your cookies, then just block the ones you don't want.

Of course, you'll have to be able to recognise what you don't want. So, perhaps the best way to do that, is to get rid of them all, then only allow back the ones that you want to keep.

Every other cookie will be denied.

Hay Mycorft, Thabks for your responds. Your right there is a bunck of cookies on there. Every time I buy a new sys, I try to get rid of all the sells pitch stuff that I don't want, it would be nice to get one with only the things you want. Half the stuff on there is junk stuff. So i like to get rid of what I don't need, less chance of bug inthere and then do a good cleanup and put so good virus tester and remove syware checker and etc. that way I feel that if any thing come up, I know it in something I did. Thanks and God Bless, have a great day.

Defragmenting

a PC shouldn't have removed files. There may have been a problem with the file structure on the drive.
