Only holiday here is that it's Friday and the horrible campaign ads have stopped.

Next Thursday (Nov. 11) is our Veterans Day holiday. It's common for the government to shift the observance to get a three-day holiday out of it, but I can't see them moving it back as far as today. Next Monday, sure.
US veterans, FYI: Applebee's and Uno Grill will feed you for free with an ID on Veterans Day. Other restaurant chains are probably participating too.
Is there some sort of US holiday today? State holidays?

Just seems a bit odd that many companies I often deal with are closed during their ordinary office hours?!
