Hi there i’m an IT student here in the philippines, honestly i did’nt like this course at first but since i don’t have any choice i’m trying my best to get in touch in this field. so now i’m having a practicum and i was put in an IT department, the supervisor was kind to me and i’m really expecting that i will learn a lot from this. but my point here is that my knowledge in this industry is so little, i know some basics but when it talk about networks i only have small knowledge. where can i learn more about networks and hardwares specially for corporates 🙂 thank you for who will help

I would suggest you to read the tech news daily on TechRepublic and ZDNet. It is very important to get to know the industry and be familiar with the terms that the experts use.

i would suggest getting a book about windows servers. they usually will have labs that will walk you through many of the basics you will need to know. you probably will need to virtualize a server if you don’t have access to one that you can mess around with. virtual box is a free program you can use. you will also need to download a iso version of windows server as well.
