ITIL Change Management: Major RFC vs RFC task

By amandah ·
We are implementing a revised change management process in the company and I'm struggling to document a clear definition of a Major type RFC to indicate when a request for change should be logged as a Major type change and when should a task be created on a Significant type change request. Should all Major type changes be projects or should implementations that require various implementations also be logged as a Major type RFC?

Major RFCs

Amanda,

Major RFC is always having a possiblity to give a huge/mass impact on the quality of the services to the client thats why it is called Major should be reviewed and authorised by the CAB/ Change control comitte considering the backup planns of the change if the RFC fails.
