Java classes

By lacy304 ·
I am a beginner as far as Java goes. Have learned HTML but want to further my studies.
What would be the best way as far a free classes goes to do this?
I am on a resticted budget.
I would like to learn visual basic? Is there any thing out there that offers any free information?
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Catherine

Hello Catherine,
In my opinion the best way to learn Java is from the Java tutorial (http://java.sun.com/docs/books/tutorial/). You may want to start with the "Your First Cup of Java" trail.
Coming to VB, the MSDN library (http://msdn.microsoft.com) is a good place start and there is a ton of information on the Internet - I have been coding in VB for 10 years, I still sometimes search in google for some help in VB. If you need help, please do not hesitate to contact me through techrepulic.
Hope this helps.
Good Luck!
Ravi

As mentioned by Ravi following is the best link to learn java. At the same time while working on Java you can look at the API to know more about the classes you may be using.

Good Luck...
If u struck some where this place is always to help you with.
