junk mail filter

Is there any way to use wildcards when adding email address to you junk email list? For example, if you wanted to weed out any thing that had the characters "test" could you enter "*.test"
in the email filter

Thanks

Not on a client computer. Exchange server (and third party programs) have methods for filtering from specific domains... but as far as client computers & Outlook, there's no way to use a wildcard.

Hopefully future versions can incorporate thisfeature! It certainly would be a well-used addition.

If you use Outlook 2000 or XP, you can. Use the rules wizard (tools->rules wizard) and have the condition be "with specific words in the sender's address".
If you use Outlook Express, no, I don't believe you can without a third party tool to block spam.

Set up custom filters by going to the Options page, then click Custom Filters under Mail Handling. Click Create New to open the Basic Filter page. Click Advanced Filter. Create a new filter that finds messages with a word in the subject that you only get from junk mail solicitors. Choose to delete these messages instead of having them delivered to your Inbox.
For more information about setting up filters, click Help on the page.
