Just how fictional are politicians?

By Jay Garmon Contributor ·
Democratic VP candidate John Edwards bears a startling resemblance to President Gary Callahan, AKA The Smiler, from the cyberpunk comic series "Transmetropolitan" by Warren Ellis.

Any other politicians you can think of that are WAY too similar to fictional characters?

Reminds me of characters from Planet of the Apes (pretty much any of them). Or maybe Curious George? Perhaps he is sometimes similar to Oficer Dribble from Top Cat, stupid and unable to take control of anything.

Our P.M. reminds me of Yogi Bear, dumb but somehow lovable for his ignorance.

Then there's Toni Blair, who reminds me of a cross between Planet of the apes/Curious George or as they say in England, Big Ears (you need to be a Noddy fan for that one).
