Just purchased Microsoft Office Home and Student 2007 and need help

By miltenburg ·
Hi all,

Have just purchased the above as I had Works Word Processor and i couldn't do a lot with it. My question is should I remove Works Word Processor after I have installed the new software? What will happen to all of my saved files that are works word documents? I have works in progress and don't want to lose them or not be able to edit them.
Thanks

It is a good idea

for many things, to backup your data, especially if you have any cause for concern.
That said, backup your data that you dont wanna lose. As for Works, I have never used it but (until recently) it was installed on my system along with Office 03.

Leave Works Installed

Works and Office co-exist peacefully and you can leave Works installed without any problems.

Here is a how-to on converting Works documents to Word format: http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/word/HP100848691033.aspx?pid=CH100626291033

Thankyou both for the advice.

I will leave it on then, so happy I can convert my old documents.

Thanks again, now hopefully I can focus on my study without getting frustrated. :)
