kernel_data_inpage_error

PIII 933Mhz system with win2000 Pro. Soltek SL-65DV2 MainBoard
Getting BSOD after approx 20 mins up time, as follows:
*** STOP: 0x0000007A (0xE1BDD3D4,0XC000000E,0XA00E50FB,0X05E19860)
kernel_data_inpage_error

*** Address A00E50FB base at A0000000, DAte Stamp 3aa010b4 - win32k.sys

Can anyone help with this error? I can't find a fix etc. in the Knowledge Base

The error is typically caused by UDMA.

Try these things first...

1. Discover what controller chipset is being used, and find better drivers if possible.

2. Disable UDMA data transfer in bios. This will cap performance at about 16.7MB/sec,but will resolve the bsod.

3. Install Service Pack 2 (There is a published UDMA fix there)

4. If you're system board uses Intel chipsets, then install the "Application Accelerator" program NOT the chipset drivers that Intel makes available.
5. Test and replace faulty ram.
