laptop won't boot after bios flash

By neal1lb ·
Dell Latitude, win2kpro(fat32).
Was told by Dell tech to flash my bios to
correct an error message related to my
docking station. After the flash, I can
no longer boot. It will post fine, I can
enter and exit setup fine, the windows
startup actually starts and then the screen
turns blue. I can get a menu for selective
startup options, but none of them will work.
Any ideas. Thanks a lot!

If you made a backup of the old bios you can reload the old
Try using a boot disk and open the cmos control panel,if possible, make sure the configuration matches the manual setup and then reboot to see if this will help,if this does not work you may need to contact vendor about a new prom

Try "load default values or factory values" in the BIOS. The values for the BIOS are unchanged by the upgrade, but the upgrade may change what it does with each value. The defaults will get the machine going but you might have to do some work to geteverything working again.
Hope it helps.
