If your laptop is new then send it back for repair.

If it is not new then it can still be fixed but it will have to be done through a shop or someone who knows how to replace the key board. What you can do for a test is to:
1). Shut your laptop down.
2). turn the laptop upside down and press the offending key many times to see if it has any crumbs or is sticky. Doing this might free it. If not then your might need a new keyboard.

Please post back if you have any more problems or questions.

Plug in an External Keyboard

by OH Smeg In reply to letter g does not work on ...

And see if the letter G still doesn't work. If it does you have a faulty Keyboard that requires replacing.

If it doesn't work with an external Keyboard plugged in the Keyboard Interface is damaged and you need to replace the M'Board to correct this. You should check with a Live Linux Disc as well just to make sure that you don't have a Software Conflict occurring that is preventing the G key form working. Any of these will do but I personally prefer Knoppix STD

So if the unit is Under Guarantee it needs to be sent back to the maker but you need to Backup all of your Data and Settings before returning it as the maker will wipe the HDD and install a Factory Fresh Image to rule out Software Conflicts before doing anything else.

If it is not Under Guarantee you have to pay to have it repaired.
