Linux command prompt

Just learning Linux, and I can find tons of information about command prompt, but I cant find anything that tells me how to get to command prompt! haha told ya I'm a new!!

Hello,

If you are running your Linux from a graphical desktop, you will typically find one or more command prompt icons referred to as "terminals" in your "system" section of the menu. Also, if you have the choice to start the system using "failsafe" mode, your login wil be at the command prompt.

you have several full screens, 1 thru 6 and 7 is the graphical. so to get back, alt+F7.

or you can launch the command prompt inside of the gui.

I prefer the full screen option myself.
