"Linuxconf ' Remote Access

By emohan ·
This is to access the linuxconf tool from the remote machine through browsers.

I activated the option in the linuxconf
i.e..Config->Networking->misc->Linuxconf network access under this activated the
enablae netwrok access and in /var/log.htmlaccess.log.

Then i tried in the browser with the ip of the machine and port no. That is(http://<ip_address:98/)

Even then i'm not getting, i get only the page cannot be displayed.

What could be the problem, clearly define and provide the solution for this.

One possibility is that Linuxconf may be running it's web interface as a secure server. You may want to try https://<ip_address:98>. The other thing that I would check would be security options for Linuxconf remote access. Be sure to state eitherthe ip or subnet that Linuxconf will accept requests from remotely.
