Local Logon to BDC NT4

By matthewl ·
I have a NT4 Server configured as a BDC .
There is no option to log on locally only onto the Network . I need access locally rather then to the network .
Any Ideas ?

PDC and BDC don't have local accounts, only DOMAIN accounts. What specifically do you need to log in locally for? (Not particularly good grammar, I'll admit.)

i don't understand why you rejected the first answer. That person is absolutely correct.

By definition, a domain controller has no local accounts since it contains the SAM for domain accounts.

So, once you log on to a domain controller, you are logged on locally, in a way. Whatever permission you have when you log in gives you access to whatever you have permission to access.

In a non domain controller, ie Member server, it has no SAM for the domain, only its own. Therefore, on a member server he has the choice to log on locally or the domain.
