Locked

Locked files

By pcmaster ·
I have a few files which seem to be so locked up I can't delete them. They are under a users profile in a folder named:
C:\Documents and Settings\Larsinator\Local Settings\Temp\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\5O9GNLG3\

the filename is cryptic, but the problem is, no matter what I do it will not allow me to delete it. The users account has been deleted, but I would think I should be able to delete it as administrator.

Any help would be great. Thanks

If you take ownership of the containing folder you should be able to delete what you like, assuming you have the permisions to take ownership. Right click folder, Properties, Security tab, under Security tab open Advanced then go to Owner. From here you can take ownership then do what you need with the folder and it's contents.
Hope that helps
Roger
