Logging locally on Vista

By mtutkun ·
My work network has a domain and strick group policies. I have created a local user name for my home network but when i logon using my local user name domain name is still there and i can not avoid group policies.

When i cahange the domain to workgroup it cahnges my domain settings for all users.

What can I do to use my laptop at home and at work without changing domain names?

As Vista is the new Kid on the Block

Most of us haven't had much to do with it and even though I have a Volume License copy of the Enterprise Version I've yet to spend any real time playing with it though I do have it installed on 1 machine but I generally don't have that one turned on all that often.

You really have 2 choices here as you are now an Official Paying Beta Tester for M$ you can either pay M$ for the required information if it's actually possible or you can ask on the Vista Community a Web Site Hosted by M$ and monitored by them as well to see what problems are cropping up with their new OS. I'm not sure how good the answers that you get will be but at least you'll not be paying M$ and arm & a leg to be told that it can't be done. The site is here
