2nd Example

by CookieOrc In reply to Easy windows script...

This is a VBS example

' Drivemap.vbs - Map Network Drives for Caselle, Quicken & Misc
' -----------------------------------------------------------------'
Option Explicit
Dim objNetwork, strRemotePath1, strRemotePath2, strRemotePath3
Dim strDriveLetter1, strDriveLetter2, strDriveLetter3

strDriveLetter1 = "O:"
strDriveLetter2 = "M:"
strDriveLetter3 = "N:"
strRemotePath1 = "\\<server name>\<share name>"
strRemotePath2 = "\\lgsvr01\Misc"
strRemotePath3 = "\\lgsvr01\Quicken"

Set objNetwork = CreateObject("WScript.Network")

' Section which maps two drives, O: , M: and N:
objNetwork.MapNetworkDrive strDriveLetter1, strRemotePath1
objNetwork.MapNetworkDrive strDriveLetter2, strRemotePath2
objNetwork.MapNetworkDrive strDriveLetter3, strRemotePath3

Wscript.Quit

' End of Windows Logon Script

vbscript

by scott_heath In reply to 2nd Example

I suggest you use vbscript as you can easily map drives based on group membership and execute all sorts of other things.
