Login script

I would like to know how can I add a document into a script that once a user has login to the server the document will show up and the user has to click the button "ok" on the document in order to be connected to the server.

The first suggestion I am going to give you is not a document but rather a pre-logon banner which can be quite verbose. In the system policies editor on the server (start-programs-adminstrative tools-system policy editor)double click local computer, expand Windows NT system, expand logon, and put a check in the Logon Banner. Then type in a title for the banner, and then type your information. If you have any BDC's you need to make sure you set up the policy to be replicated to the BDC's or only the computers logging on to the PDC directly will get the banner. If you need to know more about replication, you can e-mail me.

The other way is to put the document in the script, using a full path, preferably a UNC path. When the script encounters that line, it will open the document. If you put a macro in the document for an OK button to close the document you have what you want. One caution, with this method they are already logged onto the network before the document opens.

Hope this helps. Good luck.
