Logon Script to enable printing

By param2k_st ·
Hi,

In our network all users login as administrator to the local systems, even though we have a Windows 2000 domain-Active Directory Integrated network for some reason.
For Each login the users have to connect to the computer to which the printer is connected and set it as default.
We have three printers in our network, each attached to a computer in the network. The respective printers are being used by a team of regular users.
Can anybody tell me on how to go with the logon scriptssuch that they are set as the default printer.
Kindly elobrate.

Thanks & Regards
Parameshwar

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;Q196732
(please remove any spaces)

hope this helps

Use a prog called con2prn in the script.
My login script look's like this 2 files.
1.cmd

@Echo off
c:\prg\%clientname%.cmd

repo-7.cmd

@echo off
con2prt.exe /f
con2prt.exe /cd \\SRV01\repo-4

I hope this will help.
