Logon to Home on W2K server from W98

By cruncher_1 ·
I need a logon script to log on to a home folder on a W2K server from a W98 client. I can't believe that there isn't some way to do this without paying for a third party program. I want to log in to the user folder, not the share that contains it. Kixtart docs say it won't work. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance for your help.

Sorry if I am not clear. I want to map a drive that shows up in My Computer on a W98 client. The drive should be the users home folder.

There are a couple ways you can do this but the key piece of information you're not sharing is how you're making the connection. Dial-up to RAS on the server itself? VPN?

If you're using DialUp Networking, you can run a script after the connection is made that maps the drive although you may need either a WINS entry or an LMHOSTS file.

I am on the same network behind a proxy. All workstations are connected with hubs, switches and cat5.
