Loss of Excel editing in IE6

By BrianBooher ·
I am having a problem with Excel not being one of the editors in IE6. I do not know why it is gone and I do not know how to put it back.

The machine is Windows 2000.

The function was there before, but now it only gives Word and Notepad as editors.

Any ideas on how to put Excel back on?

Thanks

Re: Loss of Excel editing in IE6

In IE6 go to "tools > toolbars > customize" and in the list there should be your Excel to which if you decide you just add it.

Please post back if you have anymore problems or questions.

No dice Chicago...........

I tried that and it did not work.

Excel itself works just fine, there is just something that is missing between Excel and IE6.

Any more ideas world help.

Problem fixed

I have fixed the problem.

I went into the registry and changed the value in Internet Explorer to point to Excel.

Re: Problem fixed

That is good to know, now all you need to do now is put this down on your lists of "Excel errors".

Please post back if you have anymore problems or questions.
