Lotus Notes 4.6.7 issue

By kwalsh ·
I have one user who tries to copy an e-mail (usually with an attachment) into a either a calendar entry or new task. If the user tries to change the time on the new entry and save the an error stating "Sorry an uncorrectable error has occurred lookup handle:null handle press enter to abort the application" occurs. The only way to get back into notes is to end the nlnotes.exe from the Task manager. The funny thing is the entry can be seen on the calendar/task list when you back into notes. The issue is something definitely with the client because if I reproduce the same action on another PC, no problem. Already tried un-installing and re-installing notes, removing office 97 and un-installing/re-installing Norton Antivirus vers 7.5 and 8.0. Can anyone help or give me clue as to what the error message is referring to?

Lotus Notes 4.6.7 issue

Have you checked the integrity of the user's mail db, along with template version. ( if mail db is on v4.6 server, mail template should be the mail 4.6 template?

It sounds like you've gone to great lengths from the client perspective, you also might want to try to replace the user mail db design with the mail 4.6 template to potentially correct the infamous red Panic box...

regards, eric

Thanks for the response. Tried replacing the user db with the mail template on the advice of Lotus support. They are stumped as well. Any other ideas would be much appreciated. Hoping to upgrade to Domino 6 soon maybe that's the answer.
