mail being delivered in bunches

when a couple of our users are running outlook 97, their email comes through in bunches, they have to hit reply to a message or any function like that in outlook in order for the messages to get through. it does not come through when it hits the server. does anyone know why this is? i would love some help. thanks!!!!

Had same problem before. Re-installed outlook over top of itself and it completly fixed the problem.

have you checked the options under tools if new mail is checked only periodically vs as it comes?

Sometimes it takes a little bit of time for Mapisp32 to get to the top of the stack. It may also have something to do with how often you've configured outlook to check your POP3.
I find if I open another application, it tends to 'unstick' it. and changes around the priorities in the threads..
