-no trust, and no trust in future
-ONE Exchange Organisation
-Use of windows 95 and windows NT
-Use of outlook 98
-R wants to make an appointment in the calender of a S DomainUser.
-FREE/BUSY works but is not enough, you can make appointments with it.

Making appointments in outlook

From what I can see in my O98 client, there are two possibilities.

One, Tools->Options->Delegates will allow each user to add a list of delegates who may act on-behalf-of.

Two, if OBO is too much permission, then each user needs to right-clicktheir Calendar folder, click the Permissions tab, and add the people, roles and permissions to Create Items, etc.

Neither of these is available if the Calendar is kept in a local file; only the Exchange Server-resident Calendar may be handled this way. This may differ if the local mail personal folders file containing the calendar is shared; mine is not.

For my money, the availability of free/busy times allows others to automatically schedule meetings, which are sent like any other email, and automatically entered in the user's calendar when they accept the invitation. Your mileage may vary.

If other options are available to the Exchange Server admin, I don't know of them, not being an ES admin myself.

As far as I understood there should be a missed line:
-TWO sites within the Exchange ORG

Personal Calendars are stored in the Private IS, which cannot be replicated any manner.

So, you cannot share personal calendars across sites, sorry. As a workaround you may consider writing an Auto-Accept CDO script.

If you are still tackling this problem, perhaps you should consider calling your local super-hero.
