manually unistall office

hi,
i really need to remove a version of office 2000 i had installed earleir but it keeps asking me for the cd which i unfortunately cracked. i've tryed using other office 2000 cd but it just doent work. how can i manually remove the program??

click on start
click on settings
click on control panel
once control panel opens click on add/remove programs
scroll through the list and find microsoft office 2000 and click on that entry
that will activate the add/remove box
click on that box and follow the step by step instructions
that should remove that application and then you can reinstall office 2000 if you want to

i know it sounds pretty obvious but i tryed that and it just keeps asking for me to insert the cd which i used for my office installation. something about the data.msi pack and i cant seem to get a work around this one.

Try this. There is a link to an eraser utility. Type the Q number in the search box at www.microsoft.com/technet
