Mapping a network drive - XP

By Mikebyrne000 ·
Im trying to map a network drive for a user but it wont allow me as the user is not an admin.

I know on vista and 7 its just a matter of right clicking and runnnig as admin but how can I map this on xp?

Is there a way I can assign the user the drive under active directory?

I have admin username and password, just cant figureout the best way to do it for this user

Shouldn't need admin privs in XP...

It would be more likely that the user doesn't have access to the share you're trying to map.

You can map a drive through AD though by going into the user's account properties, to the profile tab, then select Connect, the drive letter, and the UNC path to the share.
