Master Boot Record (MBR)

By computerusageco ·
I installed BootMagic on an NT system to run two operating sytems. After changing my mind as to how to set the computer up, I formated drive with NTFS, installed Win2000. When I boot the computer the following message appears: |||| Error finding MTMAGIC.IMG Run BootMagic install Press any key to boot acitve partition. How do I get rid of this boot error message.

you might be able to do a "fdisk /mbr" using a dos or win9x dos. That command supposedly refreshes the master boot record.

Use Find FILES or Folders, type in MTMAGIC.IMG,locate on the C:drive and hit scan button,it will show a list of files and the location, make note of Boot Magic Install, open the C:drive thru my computer and locate the boot magic install icon and doubleclick on it and this will reinstall, and this should get rid of the error
