Matching registry key(s) to application...?

By RoninV ·
One of the thing that is still prevalent today is... uninstalling a application rarely uninstalls everything associated with that application. Sure, there are installer/uninstaller programs that can be used to monitor/log what an application plants on your computer when it is installed. These programs run in the background and do pretty well, though some tend to reduce computer speed. Are there any programs out there that would allow the user to input an application name, program name, *.exe file, and the like, and display which keys go with that application, program, *.exe, and the like file?

Never had much of this problem

I used to worry about this more with Win9x, but not so much with XP. Not worth the time to even run that process in the background. I would think now that more programs adhere to the XP standard in the addd/remove programs, that they would uninstall more cleanly.
