ME LOCK UP

By pat903 ·
Many people are requesting help with system lock while surfing. Or illegal operation errors. Why so many with ME. Is this simply software conflict or lack of security updates.

If either of the two were going to be the cause, I suppose that you could say that it could be a software conflict. I, on the other hand, use ME and have had very little trouble. You may want to try reinstalling your internet browser. This probably has nothing to do with Windows Millenium.

Good Luck

Win ME has problems with AOL. Microsoft has a download that fixes many of the problems with AOL and also with some other ISP's.
The download can be found at http://www.microsoft.com/windowsme/support/default.asp
This should fix some of the problems - especially with AOL.

I have had the same issue when surfing. I downloaded a patch from microsoft update, did not help. I am able to surf almost everywhere. Still there are 2 websites that lock up my system. I believe it has some to the scripting in the web and ME. On myWin98 system, I have no problems.

I believe you are correct. After restoring and updating these systems seem fine. However many of the users are big gamers. I wonder if this is a problem.
