messages sent to wrong recipient

By NatCat ·
Hi guys

I've been using Outlook for the past 3 months. But the last couple of weeks, if i send a message to recipient X, X will get it, but so will recipient A.
This happens even if I write an email from scratch (ie no fowards). The system appears to be free of viruses. And the mail is hosted at the ISP.
Any ideas what could be going on ?

First place I would check would be with user X. He may have some forwarding rules enabled that were created incorrectly, created mistakenly, or forgotten about.

Also check with user A and see how the mail is arriving (i.e. is it arriving direct from you, or as a forward from someone else).

Not knowing what type of email system your ISP has, I can't give you any guidance as to what to have them check or look for.

Hope this helps.

Check for hidden distribution lists as well as forwarding rules.
