Microsoft Office

By davidprice01 ·
We are a small business with 8 seat licenses of Microsoft Office 97-03. We are interested in a monthly service fee program that will insure that we are "always" operating on current technology.

Can you provide me with a "per seat" cost for a business of our size that includes all the "whistles and bells" and is a "total cost" with no additional hidden fees?

Are you asking about Office licenses or PCs in general?

Totally confused as to whether you are talking about some sort of lease+support deal where a service provider leases you PCs and printers and includes support and software upgrades, or if you are considering some sort of support program for your current PCs.

Remember, the cost of Windows and Office patches is free, and you only pay money when you upgrade versions. So worst case, unless you have some special software to run your business, you are likely to pay maybe a couple grand a year on software upgrades.

In reality the cost of software upgrades is a minimal expense, the cost of PCs is practically nothing these days. It's the support (and quality of support) that you pay for.
