Microsoft Office Compatibility Pack installation via Group Policy.

By lvoight ·
I am fairly new to Group policy as a whole. I am trying to install this pack for the whole company. I would like to push it out via Group Policy but am having an issue doing it. I know it is possible to deploy a program that is an msi, but what about a exe? I know there must be a way, but can't seem to find anyone else who has tried this.

Thanks

Here is a link that contains the files. About half way down the page.

Here is a nice link to read on how to prepare your own for deployment (note the titles expand).

Extract the .exe

you can extract the .EXE file using a zip extractor like 7zip and take out the MSI file located in the file. There you can use GP to install the file to the users.
