If you have a virus that you don't know how to remove, how did you detect it and how do you know its name??

Download Malwarebytes Anti-Malware, install it and update it and scan the PC in Safe Mode.

Search virus problems

by bobw In reply to See if this helps

I also have the Microsoft Security Center problem but mine is a bit different. Any time I try to search using either Google or Yahoo I get the Microsoft Security Center screen telling me to download a program to fix the problem. I can't even load www.google.com without it popping up on me. Any ideas for me on this problem?

I also add spybot to this and finish up

by Dumphrey In reply to See if this helps

with SDFix. I have removed this from 3 computers successfully now using these three programs in safe mode.

Malware bytes

Spybot
http://www.safer-networking.org/en/download/index.html
SDFix

http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/files/sdfix.php

My general pattern is Spybot. Boot into safemode for malwarebytes, reeboot into safemode for SDfix.
