By bubloo ·
I have few doubts in mirroing. in my nt server i have 8 GB scsi hdd. each have partitined 4 GB each. I have one more 8 GB hdd.

1.how to enable mirroring?
2.is mirroring will take huge resource of CPU?
3.The exact copy will be stored in the mirrored hdd?
4. In case failure of primary hdd, can i replace the mirror hdd as my primary without installing?

won't take HUGE resources but it does require more than stripping the drives. Yes a copy is stored in the mirrored drive
yes in case of a failure you can replace the bad drive and rebuild/copy/ to the new drive [hot swap].

The documentation that came with your SCSI card and /or SCSI mainboard will have the step by step setup instructions for creating a mirrored arrary.
