Missing .dll files...

By cyberghost_1 ·
I am having a problem with IE6. I try to fix IE, only to receive a msg. stating that IE cannot be fixed because of missing Files. I already tried to reinstall IE, with no success. I DLed 2 of the missing files...Jsproxy.dll and Wsock32n.dll. I wanted to know where they are supposed to go. I had this problem before with JAVASUP.dll, (Posted a Q here at TechRep and fixed it.) That file went in the SYSTEM folder. WHERE DO THESE 2 FILES GO???? Help ASAP!!!

Hi, well yes IE 6 is pain in the ... you must have e registry troubles, but if you insist, here's your solution:

http://aroundcny.com/technofile/texts/bit041002.html

Follow the instructions and remove it completely, after that you have 3 choices:
1. Install it again (IE6) and continue to experience troubles with this garbage.
2. Install IE 5.5 and you'll have the most stable version from MS
3. Install opera 7.23 and you would have any troubles except opening some MS pages (but you can use IE for this instance)

The choice is yours
